"I met Tanya only a few short
months ago as a mutual friend brought us together in hopes
of future business opportunities (which I still one day hope
to possibly explore). I began attending the noon
hour classes of Yoga with Tanya. I added more fruit to my diet, and recorded
what I ate. I watched my portion sizes and chose water more
often than coffee. I learned to listen and become aware of
my body and how it reacted to different stimulus and food.
Tanya's warmth and support
radiated throughout her classes and came to true light
during our weekly meetings.
She was supportive and
inspirational and yet there was always this underlying
wisdom that I still feel I have barely began to explore. I
feel better about myself physically and balance wise than I
think I ever have and I know I have only begun this journey.

Thank you seems so ordinary to
express appreciation for the EXTRAORDINARY way you have
helped me appreciate my body. Aging is not kind to our bodies, despite on-going exercise,
and it is sometimes difficult to accept our bodies "as they
are" and love them. The yoga classes and boot camp have
reinforced all the positives, and awakened me to the fact
that my body is still flexible and open to change and
motion. It is exciting for me to see toning taking place
and pounds falling ... albeit slowly. But I know it can be
done with diligence. Tanya you have given me the incentive
and encouragement to be kind to my body and I realize one
doesn't have to knock themselves out to get results. Through Yoga, I have gained a renewed sense of calm,
alertness, and self-confidence. I WANT to help myself and
know with little effort that can be done. Your gentle,
reassuring method of instruction makes each class
participant believe in themselves; and that certainly is the
first step to achieving success. BodyArt sessions have given me an entire new awareness of
who I am, and what matters in my life. Being able to talk
about our human weaknesses, personal successes, and the
'hard times' among friends has proven so therapeutic. I
realize despite our place in life, we all are subject to the
same pitfalls, stresses, and heartaches ... and sharing is
healing. It is this openness that puts us in touch with
our true self. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for giving of your
time, knowledge, and sharing your art for the betterment of
my mind, body and spirit."

"Crowning moment was my
16-year-old son telling his friends "Hey, my mom has a six
pack". And he wasn't talking about beer!
I found all sorts of reasons to justify how I was different
and why this could not be achieved by some one like myself.
I felt that I was too old, out of shape and was consumed
with too many responsibilities. I have a husband, three
children, work fulltime, volunteer commitments, and martial
arts classes. I was just too busy and truly felt that for
myself this was an unachievable goal.
Tanya provided continual support and encouragement to get
back on track no matter how discouraged I felt - regardless
of setbacks I felt or perceived. A bad day or week didn't
mean failure. You just get back on track and give it another
go! Small steps, one foot at a time.
The physical result was weight loss, overall fat loss and
increased lean muscle mass. The mental result was confidence
and renewed self-respect. I now have a whole new outlook on
what I can achieve in my life.
