Tanya grew up playing sports, spent three years in police college and another three as a tactical team prison guard. With an interest in strength, she trained with power lifters, won bodybuilding contests and ranked among the top figure models in the country.

Fascinated with human anatomy, she went from personal trainer and pilates instructor to alignment specialist and weight control nutritionist.  She co-owned a Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai school and co-launched Canada's first recognized Mixed Martial Arts event. Seeking deeper purpose, Tanya immersed in traditional Yoga-meditation studies and daily practice with masters.  She eventually opened one of Canada's first Yoga-Pilates studios for personal discovery and empowerment. 

Today, eclectic cross-training interests continue to expand and guide Tanya's newest Body Artistry including tribal dances, self-defense, and free form feminine movement.

Tanya can breakdown the basics to most any movement discipline and turn it into a whole new experience that amplifies power potential, activates deep muscles, releases unwanted tension, feeds joints-bones, removes toxins, and creates an exploratory environment for body, breath and flow.
